Even on a cold and dreary night, Pasha's soft blue décor, music and delightful aroma of herbs and charcoal grill will transport you from Stockport to the Mediterranean, making you feel like you are on holiday. The authentic cuisine, which is predominantly Turkish, is as exotic as the regions that inspired it.
Come and sample our extensive menu or try one of our blackboard specials, changed on a regular basis to allow variety and and an element of surprise to our menu.Ideal for family groups including children, Pasha caters for parties and is perfect for a romantic twosome, making it a stylish destination for socialising and a memorable dining experience and we welcome your visit.
Even on a cold and dreary night, this Mediterranean restaurant is warm, bright and somehow manages to transport you from Stockport to the Med from the second you walk through the door. Staff greet you with a smile and are keen to recommend or explain menu choices. There's a distinct Turkish flavour to the dishes and Pasha is famous for it's Kebabs - but not the kind you regret on a Sunday morning after a boozy Saturday night.
Owner Bulent Kaya shows a kebab can be a tasty, healthy meal, using tender quality cuts of meat or fish, marinated in delicious spices and plated up with rice and salad. There's a huge selection of hot and cold tapas-style starters and the home-made hummus is to die for, as is the Siagara Borek - a light filo pastry filled with feta. There is a varied choice of mains with almost 30 choices, including a good selection of vegetarian dishes.
At Pasha, the thing to do is just it a go. Even if you can't pronounce the names, the food is delicious and freshly prepared with excellent attention to detail - so you can't go far wrong.
There is a wonderful range of starters on the menu. The Sigara Borek, a shallow fried filo pastry filled with feta cheese has to be tasted to be believed. For those willing to share or with a big appetite, I can recommend one of the mixed meze - a great selection and great value.
The main courses are expertly cooked and beautifully presented. The salad garnishes are almost too attractive to eat - almost but not quite and the tomatoes are skinned and the skin fashioned into a rose flower on your plate. The Sasik is excellent. You can have chicken or lamb or half and half and it is succulent, tender and served with with rice and salad so there is sufficient to satisfy but not enough to cloy. For the richer palate try the Polla Alla Crema or the Chicken Sate served with a scrumptious sauce of mushroom, tomato, peppers, garlic and white wine topped with cheese. Steaks are delightful with a range of options, Sirloin or Fillet.
For vegetarians there is plenty of choice including vegetarian pancake, Musakka and Ispanak Nohutlu. For the hungry the vegetarian Guvec or peasant stew is a good bet.
The fish dishes are excellent, Sea Bass, Sea Bream and Swordfish steak, again served so the plates look like a work of art. The fish is freshly bought and it certainly tastes like it.
Follow your meal with a sweet from the trolley and a coffee and you will be replete. The wine, New World and South African and a pleasant St. Emillion is well priced and very drinkable and there is a good gluggable housed wine.
What can I say? Eating there is a wonderful experience. Go on. Treat yourself to a little Turksih Delight.
Have been to this restaurant many times over the past few years, either as a couple or large family group including my young grandson, as it is our favourite in South Manchester. It feels Mediterranean when you walk in and is often busy so you need to book. We are always made very welcome by the owner and his staff, and now on birthdays he presents us with a wonderful plate of carved fruit. There is a very good selection of starters and main courses, all reasonably priced, and then they bring a plate with an example of each dessert for you to select from. We particularly like the Sigara Borek and Sucuk as starters, and Chicken Sote or Chicken Saslik for main. You must try it - you won't be disappointed. We've also recently been there for a takeaway, which is very good value at 20% off the restaurant prices. There is a small carpark behind the restaurant, accessed via the alley next to the Millercare shop.
We went to the Pasha last night 8 handed, this was to celebrate my oldest daughters birthday. We had booked a table and this was ready for us when we arrived. Drinks were brought to us very quickly, and the waiter asked us to order our starter and main meal. Within 20 minutes our starter had arrived, I had little pieces of meat on skewer's, which were really nice. Even though it is primarily a Turkish restaurant, they have other meals on the menu. Some of us went traditional and others had steak. It didn't matter, all the meals were cooked to perfection. Thanks for a nice night guys, we will see you again very shortly.
Just visited Pasha again with my wife on a Saturday night and had a fab meal. Didn't book and got the last table in the house. We were in a bit of a rush so had no starters. Wife hade the mixed meze and I had the pasha special which was absolutely superb! Food extremely fresh and full of flavour. I go to Turkey most years on holiday and I can honestly say that with an Efes to go with my dish I could have been in Turkey! Pasha has been consistently churning out good quality fresh food (which is excellent value) for many years now. Keep it up guys.
We go to this restaurant quite regularly due to the gorgeous food, great value for money, and the staff are great.
Would definitely recommend!
I've been visiting Pasha for years now, for birthdays, family occasions, any excuse really, and it has never let me down. The service is friendly and professional, the food is delicious and it is good value. On my latest visit, I took friends who had never been before. They were really impressed and will be going back. I can't wait for my next excuse for a meal out!
Been coming to Pasha since my wife and I first met. Food has never altered in many years - always of an excellent standard.
We must be regulars now as we don't even need to ask for the menu - the front of house staff know our order, the only decision is over which of the numerous excellent red wines to order (the Lebanese red and also the St. Emilion are both excellent choices)
I have lived in Poynton and Hazel Grove all my life and until this time last year I had no idea this place existed. Having found it, I completely agree with previous reviews. The owners and staff are great, the food is varied and good in quality. The fish is the best quality and the cheapest around. The halibut is great as is the pasha special. The wine is well priced and very nice. I was just looking for somewhere to eat tonight, and despite eating here frequently I'm going to head back. Love this place, could not speak higher of this place. If you're looking for value and quality with great service this is a great place!!
We have eaten here for many years. In a village like Hazel Grove, which is full of restaurants, this sticks out a mile. Always very pleasantly greeted and staff very attentive. Food is also of a very high standard and caters for all tastes. Wife is veggie and she loves the food here. We also visit with our 9 year old and happily she will eat kebabs or fish and especially loves the Swordfish. Just wish we could visit more often.
We eat here regularly. The food is excellent and great value for money. The early evening offer cannot be beaten, running Monday to Thursday until 7pm and Friday, Saturday until 6.30pm. The owner and staff are very friendly. The starters are very tasty and there is a great selection of main courses. Try it and you will not be disappointed.
We have been several times to this small but excellent restaurant. Nothing is to much trouble and service and food have never fallen below our expectations. Would recommend anybody to try.
We have been going to Pasha's for several years and it's been excellent every time. The food is good quality and full of flavour. The spicy sausage in particular is amazing!! Compliments to the chef(s). It doesn't look much from the outside but visit Pasha and you will be glad you did. The owner is very friendly and makes you feel very welcome. We tell all our friends ( who aren't already regulars) to go.
I go to Pasha quite often as I find that no other local restaurant comes close. The staff are the friendliest staff I have met and back in May when I went for my birthday they went out of their way by making me a beautiful fruit platter shaped in different animals. The food is devine and presentation, it's amazing. You feel at home and everyone is very welcoming. I'd recommend the mushrooms or spicy sausage for starters and the pasha special and Lamb et Sote for a main. The food is good priced and I had the best tasting lamb shank when it was on the specials board. A must try for any Pasha virgin!
I cannot rate this restaurant highly enough - food is excellent but it is the personal and attentive service that is fantastic. We have been several times, most recently there were 20 of us for a family birthday. The birthday girl loves Bream and the owner went to the fish market specially to ensure that they had one in for her. Any celebrations are gifted with fabulous fruit art at the end of the meal - free of charge. They do a happy hour with set menu choices - starter and main for £7.95 Friday and Saturday lunchtime and £9.45 early evening, but the menu is not over priced in any case. Even the wine is reasonable. It's always busy, even on mid week nights, which is a recommendation in itself.
I have been going to Pasha for years and it is one of my favourite restaurants. The menu is extensive, with several specials on offer, and is reasonably priced. It also has a great early bird menu. I have been in a couple, with the girls, with a large group of friends and every time we are treated like old friends and have never had a bad meal. If I was a veggie, I would find this more than acceptable as there are several dishes to choose from. There is also traditional cuisine and grills to choose from.
